BY THE SWEAT OF YOUR BROW

Gardeners: Nate and Jenna Almond and kids
Ryan and Melinda Almond and kids

Land: Northward in Bluffdale

Garden Mentors- Richard and Nonna

--So with a desire to eat more healthy, save money, and teaching kids the "Law of the Harvest"- yea the wii and xbox havent been able to teach that just yet, we have planted a garden. One would think this being our first time that we would experiment with a small garden but Nooooo, with the generosity of Richard and Nonna letting us use their land, we have planted:

7 rows of peas- row length=20 ft
17 tomato plants
4 rows of bush beans-row length=20 ft
8 rows of corn-row length=55 ft
10 cantaloupe plants
10 cucumber, 8 red pepper, 8 yellow pepper, 8 jalapeno, Cilantro, Dill, Kale, Lettuce, Carrots, green onions, yellow onions(200)
Red and Russett Potatoes- 5 rows each of 30 ft rows

Yea, in over our heads? most likely. But going to have a blast growing a garden.

--So come post and share with us your secrets and photos of your garden experiments. With what we learn, we will share as well.
